Zrii and Marketing Online

Experts and newbies with the Zrii opportunity are alike in misunderstanding the way online marketing works, and under-estimating the steps involved.
2 examples of common (but untrue) myths are: “An Internet Marketing Expert is an Automatic expert” and “Make a Ton of Sales, And You Make a Ton Of Cash”.
People fall for the same old myths about how these programs work. And these end up costing them hundreds or thousands of dollars a year in wasted time and effort.
Acquaint yourself with these 4 myths, and protect yourself from the online hype and misconceptions.

Myth #1: The Internet Can Be Wildly Profitable in One Month
The most unfortunate and damaging myth about online home business is that the income can come quickly.
It *may* be possible for a “big dog” with an established network of partners, to create a residual income of $1000 in one month. But this will never happen for the average person building from scratch.

Consider this:
The average MLM company pays $2 - $7 per person in an organization. To earn $2000 - $7000 per month, you need 1000 people in your organization.
This is very possible to achieve. But it takes time.

Myth #2: “It’s A Ground Floor Opportunity - You Must Join Today”
When someone says: “Ground Floor Opportunity - Join Today” what are they really saying?
Is it: (1) “People who join after me have less chance of making money than I do” ? OR (2) “The company will be useless in 2 years time” ?
Would you want to take a year or two to build a good residual income, only to have that income disappear?
And what would happen to the suckers who join in 6 or 7 months time?
A good business opportunity should actually *improve* with time and exposure. It’ll be based on products (or services) - and delivering more in product value than the dollar amount people are paying for it.
(Yes it IS possible to find such companies on the internet, Zrii is one of them.)

Myth #3: Make A Ton Of Sales and You Make A Ton Of Cash
The way MLM (truly) works best is if a large number of people each help each other to make a small numbers of sales.
Let me show you what I mean:
In an offline business we were in, a guy joined who was an awesome direct mail marketer. Soon he put together a masterly direct mail campaign to promote this opportunity. He invested a lot of money then unleashed his packages. In 5 weeks he had several hundred people in his downline, and was earning several thousand dollars per month.
But within two years he had dropped out of that company.
Why is this?
It’s because almost none of the people he brought in were able to do what he was able to. So he wasn’t able to help them grow their businesses. (He possibly didn’t have time to help 500 newbies). And since the monthly purchase requirement was $130 in this particular company they soon started dropping out.
The point you really ought to understand about the Zrii business is this:
“In MLM, you don’t make much money from making sales - You make much money from building an organization!”
This brings us nicely to the next and final myth:

Myth # 4: You Build From The Top Downwards
Many people feel that you “come in at the top”, then bring people in “under you”. They reflect this in their attitude to the job.
If you’re smart, you’ll know better.
You build from the bottom.
At the start, there’s no one else in your business. You just have a dream, and help from your company and upline.
Imagine you’re trying to erect a building.
You find 3 bricks and place them in your foundation. But you must physically support these from below. Yes, they’re heavy at first, but you do the job. You continue to support them.
One morning you wake up and there are now 9 bricks in your structure, from the 3 you started with.
You’re supporting a 9 brick structure now, and because you do, it continues to grow. Eventually, you look up and find that you have a solid building.
Can you see it?
The bottom “bricks” are people you recruit and assist to take their first steps as marketers of your opportunity. When they help other people, your organization expands.
The point is that the engine that drives lasting MLM growth is people helping other people, in small numbers, and everybody doing their share.
At the beginning your job is to sponsor a small number of people and support them, and encourage them to make sales … encourage them to encourage other people in the same way.
Once you build a small group of people and the helping culture takes hold, you’ll start to develop a rapidly growing organization … that grows rapidly and wildly with a momentum you couldn’t stop, even if you tried to.

Traffic to your Zrii website

I guess you would have to have been living under a rock (or just not surfing the Internet) for the past two years to NOT know about Google’s Adwords feature, but I thought I would spend a few minutes explaining how to drive traffic to your business opportunity page.
While there are a many techniques to drive traffic to your Zrii website, none is as quick or effective as using one of the largest *in-place* methods available, Google Adwords.
Here’s how it works… you research what keywords you want to advertise for (keywords are what the people searching Google use to get results), build an ad, bid on the keywords and then turn on the tap. Instant traffic flows to your web site.
Sounds easy doesn’t it?

The Keywords
Well, there are a few pitfalls (think Grand Canyon if you go into this without some forethought), some things to look out for, and you need to be prepared to spend some time researching, reviewing, refining and adjusting the list of words or phrases people will be searching for to find you. If you just put 1-10 keywords in your bid list, you will get a few *hits*. The more keywords you enter, the more *hits*.
But, and let me be VERY clear here, if you enter keywords just for the sake of having more in your list, you will go broke pretty fast. You want *laser-guided keywords* that bring traffic to your site, but you ONLY want keywords that relate directly to your opportunity, and indicate a willingness on the part of the web surfer to review your page.
In other words, don’t include a keyword phrase like “real estate home business” because those people aren’t looking for what you are offering (unless you actually have an internet opportunity in the real estate field!). Every time someone searching for that term sees your ad and clicks, you wasted the “cost-per-click” associated, you pissed off the surfer because they really don’t want to know more about your Zrii business and you dilute your traffic analytics.

The Ad
The next element to successfully driving traffic to your Zrii website is the ad itself. Google has been a little stingy with space and only allows you 25 characters in the headline, 35 in each of two description lines, and a display URL (also 35 characters ). Frankly, it’s pretty hard to generate excitement and interest with so few words, but it can be done. Again, plan to spend a little time with this element. You want to explain features or benefits to the person reading the ad, so they WANT to click to see what you have to offer.
Whatever you do, don’t lie. People aren’t stupid (despite what you might think) and will leave disgusted if they see an obvious lie. They will also leave pretty quick if they clicked a ad that promised them free information and only find paid content available. Again, this just wastes your money and their time. Not a good combination.

The Capture (or Landing) Page
The final element, and one you should plan to give a lot of thought to, is your landing page. This is the page that the web surfer sees when they do click on your ad. You have about 5 seconds to grab their attention and give them a reason to keep reading so this should quickly explain what you are about, or answer a question they have been asking (their internal dialogue), or even better, ask them a question they really want to know the answer to, such as “Are you losing weight the way you want to?” or “Do you have all the money you need to do the fun things in life? I do!”.

The headline is one of the most important aspects of your Zrii Capture Page. And if you ask and then answer the question (within the body of the sales letter), they will keep reading. Make your points one by one, each one directed at generating excitement, showing them how it is possible for them and then ask them to take action. It can be to sign up for more info (lead capture), or sign up now, or purchase something from you. The goal here is to get them to take action for their own benefit, so your wording needs to move them to that end. My favorite is the email capture because I know with their email address, I have more than one opportunity to *sell* them. I can send them free information, build trust, get them used to hearing from me (but don’t over do this part) and then when they are ready, whether its tomorrow, next week or two months from now, they will remember the contact, the good information and they will call me and ask to join the organization. Why? Because I educated them, and asked for nothing in return.
I could spend hours and hours on how to drive traffic to your business opportunity and still not scratch the surface, but I wanted to give you some food for thought. There are other ways which I will cover in more detail in later posts, but here is a teaser…
Forum’s: Posting about your Zrii opportunity, answering questions, asking questions and interacting with other network marketing professionals is a good way to establish yourself as an authority. It’s also a free way to drive traffic to your business opportunity. Just add a signature line to your profile so each time you post or reply to a message, your link is shown and clickable. Remember, other networking people read these posts. Many will click the link to see what you are doing.

Blogs: Posting information in your blog is also a good way to drive traffic where you want it. Write a post about the three things you should avoid saying on the phone with a prospect, or the 5 things you need to always say, or how to counter rejection, and people will read it. The search engines will list you, so someone looking for information about what you wrote about will be presented with your blog entry. The more you write, the more traffic you get. Remember to show your business opportunity link somewhere on your blog page. Every few posts, mention that that link explains *something* better. There are free Blogs out there, ready and waiting for you. I use both Blogger.com and I host my own using Blogger’s interface. I also have a WordPress blog (this one) that allows for some more advanced templates, though it’s a little harder to get setup initially. While hosting your blog or using WordPress might be a little too advanced for your taste, the first is literally *push-button-publishing*.

Articles: There are dozens of article directories available on the web today. Each of these articles allows an unlimited number of *reprints* by anyone at all. Let’s say I have a website about Gardening and I want fresh content so the search engines are happy, but don’t have time to write it myself… I search out an article from one of more than 700 directories, pull the article and post it on my site. The search engines are happy. The web surfer is happy. And the person that wrote the article is happy because each reprint MUST include all the original text and links. It’s a win-win.

Zrii Business Expectations

Two years ago, before the Zrii opportunity, I decided to start an online business, never knowing what that would entail. I truly believed the hype of a business running 24/7 by itself. How naive I was.
Essentially an online business does run by itself, once it is set up. However, with the Amalaki business or any other opportunities there are constant changes. New challenges await the unwary behind every website. Not only does it keep changing and challenging you the business owner, but as your business evolves so do the challenges. How you adapt to these challenges and changes will determine whether your business will succeed.
From my personal experience, once you decide on the home based business you want to involve yourself in, allow at least three months to learn new strategies, for some a new language (computer speak), and to improve the multitude of new things you will be learning to enable you to run your home business. Have patience these first three to six months as they will be over in a blink of an eye; you need this learning curve to succeed. You need to know what you are doing and how you are doing it to start to grasp the concept of your running a home based business, and not chasing the dream of owning one.
Throughout the first year you will be learning every day, but within six months you should start seeing some award for your work in the form of cash! After months of trying and seeing little or no results that first big sale is like an answer to your prayers. It usually happens around the six month mark, but there are no guarantees in business, to some extent it is sheer luck and perseverance. For me it was people telling me I could not make a living working from home. Something about being told I cannot do something has always struck a nerve with me.
If you have reached this turning point you will know that you have chosen the right home business for you.
This is also the time when you think you can sit back and reap the rewards. Not So!You have started building the business, now you have to add on. Much like you build a building. You have started the foundation, now move on to the upper floors. You need to take a close look at what you have built, and decide what you are doing that is working and what is not. Get rid of or refine what is not. Continue and refine what is.
I check my Zrii website daily, to see where my sales are coming from. If one product is doing better than another, that product gets more exposure. Do the same with advertising. If you use only free advertising as I do, check your sites several times a week to make sure your ads are getting the exposure you need them to get, if they are not getting any hits, rewrite them. I am constantly looking for new and legitimate work at home opportunities. Many of the opportunities I try out first before I put them on my website to make sure they are what they say they are, if it is something I cannot check out I enlist the aid of a trusted group of people who check the offers out first. There are a lot of scam artists out on cyberspace, unfortunately.
Owning your own home business is a continuing learning experience. It really never ends and the Zrii opportunity is not an exception.Look into automation and programs that will help you improve your home based business. The business forums on the Internet are a good source for this type of information. As your profits increase the excitement of that first sale remains, but remember why you wanted a home based business. You need to take some of the profit and put it back into your business either in the form of better advertising, better software, whatever you need to make your business run smoother and faster.
Your home based business will give you the freedom and flexibility to enjoy life. Once you succeed in automating your business, you will be able to choose when you want to work and when you want to play.
Within the first year you will have set up a daily schedule with your zrii business, which will give you a routine to your working days, while still maintaining the flexibility you longed for when starting. You won’t be rich yet, but you will be your own boss. At the end of the first year you have made it past the ups and downs of owning your own business, you should be seeing a profit, and you are on track for where you want to be. Zrii and Persistance Equals Success

Wether you are a member with the Zrii business or any other opportunity out there one of the keys to success is called persistance. The dictionary describes persistence as: the act of persisting; the state or quality of being persistent; Continuance of an effect after the cause is removed: persistence of vision. In other words, you keep trying even when it seems as if there is no reason to keep trying. For me as a business owner with Zrii , especially a home business owner, the ability to keep trying is an absolute must. This might be in the form of emails, phone calls, sales calls, commercials, ads, etc. Many times the most important aspect of any of these actions is to be persistent.

For example, if you’re making phone calls to prospects, it can’t just be done for one day and then never done again. There has to be a plan in place to make “X” number of calls a day, or week. One and done won’t accomplish anything. This is where persistence comes in to play. The biggest problem that I find with people being persistent is their own mind. We all play mental games with ourselves and “talk” ourselves out of doing things, especially when it comes to things such as making phone calls and/or sales calls. The problem is that accomplishing these tasks is integral to being successful as a small/home business owner. So not talking yourself out of doing the necessary work is an absolute must.

A great article that I read over the weekend says that we must ‘detach from the outcome’ in our lives and what we are trying to accomplish. If we truly can detach from the outcome, it makes being persistent that much easier. For example, if you’re detached from the outcome, who cares if one or twenty people say ‘NO’ to whatever your doing? You won’t, because you’re not concerned about the results, just the work. And the work is what you should be concerned with. The outcome will take care of itself. Using this advice and detaching from outcome will no doubt help you to be more persistent. And being more persistent will more than likely make you more successful. Never forget what Denis Waitley said, “Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence. The extra energy required to make another effort or try another approach is the secret of winning".
Cheers zrii !
